Sponsored Walk

A sponsored walk will be held over two days (24 & 25 March). This will cover ten cricket clubs in the Wellstream Northumberland & Tyneside Senior League. Walkers will camp at Greenside CC on the night of Saturday 24 March.

Tickets are now on sale for next Monday's draw, which will be made at around 8.00pm. The Jackpot is now £2,215.00. The next draw is 6 February and there are 15 envelopes. Installation of new fixed outdoor net facility

Following the award of a grant for the installation of a fixed outdoor cricket net facility, plans for the proposed siting have been posted on the club notice board.
It is anticipated that work will commence on the preparation ground work within the next 2 to 3 weeks with a view to having the facility completed before the end of the season.
Any member who has any query regarding the project can either contact Steve Newstead or Andrew Donnelly for further details.
The installation of the outdoor facility will greatly assist our coaches and junior section for the coming years and our appreciation goes out to all the public and members who have supported the project.

Cricket Coaching Videos

As well as a Michael Vaughan video on playing a cover drive and a Shane Warne lesson on bowling spin, there are eight videos on batting from the Bob Woolmer coaching DVD set produced by the United Cricket Board of South Africa when Bob was the South Africa head coach. These videos are all located on YouTube. Steve Black has the Bob Woolmer 3-DVD set if anyone wants to watch them in higher quality using a dvd player and TV. Alternatively, buy your own by clicking on the buy.at online shopping link to the right and look for the dvd set on Play.com or Amazon.co.uk. It only costs about £11.00 and is excellent value. Subscriptions

As the cricket season has now ended, membership subscriptions are very overdue. Please pay these promptly. Players should pay via their team captain or to Steven Newstead. Social members should see a member of the committee.

It is no surprise that it is the same old offenders who are the last in paying every year. YOU ARE IN DANGER OF BEING NAMED AND SHAMED!
  
     
   
 
Indoor Cricket Nets - 30 minutes later this week

Juniors (this week only) are from 7:30pm till 9:00pm. (Normally 7:00pm till 8:30pm)
Seniors from 8pm till 9pm.
The cost is £4.00 per session. This must be paid on arrival. These sessions are vital to the preparations for the coming season.
